Oratile Mabidikame, the contender and delegate for Miss Earth South Africa 2023 joined the Executive Mayor of JB Marks Local Municipality, Councillor Gaba Thithiba Ka Qhele, as he arrived in Ventersdorp on July 18, 2023, to plant trees as part of the program to Commemorate the 2023 Nelson Mandela Day. According to Miss Mabidikame, “trees have been used to represent life, growth, wisdom, prosperity, and more in legends, poetry, literature, and religion.”
